With over 20 years’ experience in business-to-business finance, I pride myself on having a keen eye for detail, coupled with an excellent network of finance and non-finance professionals, colleagues and friends.
Throughout my industry experience I have worked with companies which are owner-managed right through to large corporates and PLCs. The businesses I’ve continually worked with operate in nearly every sector and industry, throughout the UK.
Over the years I have had many successes in helping businesses finance assets, working capital, restructure, refinance, right through to orderly disposal of debt and assets.
Whether working with owner-managed SME clients or large corporates and PLCs, I thrive on seeing the impact of delivering solutions for our customers and playing a part in their success.
In my spare time I enjoy quality time with my family, work on reducing my golf handicap, the occassional mountain walk along with mountain biking.

I have many years experience working for some of the UK's largest financiers and now I am one of the owners of Custom Business Finance based in South Yorkshire.
I have reputation for being hardworking, honest, and a reliable individual. I pride myself on building strong working relationships with businesses of all sizes, from new start-ups to multimillion pound organisations.
I thrive on being able to make a real difference to my clients and helping their businesses grow. Working with a wide array of businesses has given me a real insight into the day-to-day challenges that different businesses face. Being able to present commercially sound and well-structured funding solutions to aid these challenges is highly rewarding.

I started my career at the NatWest Group after graduating with a degree in Business and Marketing from Hull University. Having undertaken various roles spanning 6 Counties over many years, I developed many skills, which allowed me to transfer them to Custom Business Finance when we originally set the business up many years ago.
I have a genuine passion for finance and enjoy supporting our clients’ ambitions. We get involved in some exciting projects, small and large for all sorts of things such as asset and re-finance, commercial property, property development, invoice discounting and working capital solutions. Clients vary from start ups to SMEs to large corporate PLC entities spanning a diverse sector base.
In my spare time I try to keep fit on my exercise bike and by walking. I am one of the coaches for my twin boys football team too. I enjoy visiting pubs and dining out restaurants with family and friends. Oh, and for my sins, I support Sheffield Wednesday!

Helen Stinson

I have 20 years’ experience within the finance sector commencing my first role at Lombard part of the NatWest Group. I am proficient in all aspects of relationship management, payment processing, documentation and customer service.
I began in a Relationship Management support role assisting various clients, including Private Individuals, Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies, across numerous business sectors. 2018 saw me complete 17 years’ service with Lombard and with it came the realisation it was time for a new challenge.
In my current role at Custom Business Finance I feel honoured to be part of a business that is completely dedicated to putting customers at the heart of all that we do.
Away from work, I enjoy travelling, long walks in the countryside, listening to music and the occasional glass of red wine - hiccup.

I left college with strong qualifications and started employment at a local comprehensive school where I worked in their ICT department. After a year or so I moved into a classroom teaching environment having completed a HLTA qualification. This elevated my communication and interpersonal skills as I was more involved with behaviour management and in charge of external provision.
Working with people and making a difference is a real passion of mine so now having the opportunity to work at Custom Business Finance in a different environment was an opportunity I grabbed with both hands.
In my spare time I enjoy socialising, spending time with family, mixing with friends and going to the gym as often as I can.
I look forward to working with new acquaintances as I develop new skills with CBF.
